Whoever sells and distributes goods under the pretense that they are good goods, or misrepresenting one commodity as another commodity, or adulterating a commodity so as to reduce the quality of that commodity, without telling the same, shall be imprisoned for up to nine months or There may be a fine of up to two lakh rupees or both.
